The New Mexico Broadcasters Foundation is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization that meets the 501(c)(3) definition. The NMBF operates from a principle fund and is governed by its own board of directors. Our focus of giving is to provide additional educational opportunities for students across the state who are particularly interested in a career in broadcasting.
Links for Education:
The NMBF hosts its annual golf tournament each June in the shadow of the magestic Sandia Mountains. The course, rated one of the 10 ten courses you can play by Golf Magazine (December 2005), provides breath-taking views and championship golf. The straight scramble format can accomodate teams of 2 to 4 players and provides ample opportunity for our players to win great prizes from our generous hole sponsors as well as great player gifts from our event sponsor. For more information or to participate in our next tournament, visit the "Links for Education" website.
Gridiron:
The political roast is alive and well during this election-year spectacular! While most events focus on the humorous quirks and behaviors of a single politician, the NMBF Gridiron takes no prisoners. As an election-year event, the Gridiron takes on all comers from the Governor to the State Treasurer, from local mayoral candidates to US Senators! But don't miss this opportunity, because what happens at Gridiron stays at Gridiron! For more information or to make your reservations for our next Gridiron event, visit the "Gridiron" website.
New Mexico Broadcast Resources
The NMBR provides spot buys which are regular, paid advertising spots placed for a fee of 10% of the gross buy. If your organization has a limited budget, the NMBR can help coordinate Non-Commercial Sustaining Announcements (NCSA) that allow you to get the best return for your non-profit organization's advertising dollar. And all the profits from these programs go to the New Mexico Broadcasters Foundation which provides scholarships for New Mexico students.
